The Ombudsman is an independent and unbiased body that has the power to investigate complaints from individuals about Western Australian Government agencies, statutory authorities, local governments and public universities. The Ombudsman also has the authority to initiate an enquiry or investigation even when no specific complaint has been received.
Before approaching the Ombudsman, consumers are encouraged to try to resolve disputes through mediation with the organisation.
