been with tru energy for a number of years and it that time the company has got worst and worst.The last straw is my recent bill that went from an average cost last quarter to $335 this quarter.Granted it was for a total of 108 days and my last bill was for 74 but an increase of 100% for34 days who do they think there kidding.I live alone have gas hot water cooking and heating i am hardly ever at home and don't have any thing apart from a small fridge that runs all the time.If your thinking about going to Tru energy think again cause i can tell you now you will be totally dissatisfied as i am and i am on this platform to change right now

I have been a loyal customer for 7 years. Never questioned until recently got a bill for feb/12 - may/12 period. I have used around 800Kws in that period. I had used around 500KWs in the previous year and nothing has changed in he house !!! Looked around in the bill and becuase of the smart meter I have been charged thrice read not once not twice but trice !!! Call up and had a rant for 1 hour on the phone and got fed up actually !!! They could not explain anything and they could not change the bill !! Never again !!

TruEnergy have overbilled me to the tune of approximately $5000 over the last 2 years, billing on meters that they know have been removed, using what are supposedly "actual" readings in some cases. If this is not fraud, it is very close. Their customer database is full of erroneous garbage and their customer service is hopeless in getting this sorted out. I am going to end up having to go to the ombudsman. As soon as I have recovered my money from them I will be getting my electricity from anyone but TruEnergy. Do not touch TruEnergy with a bargepole

Since installing solar panels TRUenergy has only provided accounts/statements when I have rung them, often after multiple phone calls. I have had letters from them stating bills will arrive in so many business days that do not arrive, written apologies regarding the lack of accounts. Got so frustrated I contacted the electricity ombudsman, but still we do not receive regular accounts. I believe it is a software problem - their program cannot process the data from customers with solar panels. How long is this situation going to be allowed to persist?

I have been with TruEnergy for a number of years. I had a payment plan for both my gas and electricity. Then.... I moved houses - that created enormous problems - more for the elecricity than tha gas. I managed to get a final reading and a credit on my gas, however my electricity was another story. I couldn't get a final read (go figure - when they could do a final gas read). The continued to take money out of my account even when I moved, without my authorisation. It took me nearly FOUR months to get a final read and a refund.... unbelievable!!!!!!!!!! Not sure who to go with next - any recommendations???? Are they all just as bad as each other???
