Energy Australia is one of Australia's largest and oldest energy suppliers with 1.3 million residential and business customers around Australia. In addition to selling gas and electricity to customers in many States, Energy Australia is an electricity distributor, operating one of NSW's largest electricity networks.
Energy Australia has recently re-entered the Victorian market after selling its Victorian and South Australian customers to Simply Energy in May 2007. Energy Australia is owned by the NSW Government and is part of the privatisation initiative currently being debated in NSW Parliament.
