company overview
QEnergy is a relatively new electricity retailer specialising in supplying power to Queensland businesses. As well as retailing, QEnergy is expanding into generation by constructing a power station near Moura in the Bowen Basin. In future this should enable QEnergy to provide cheaper electricity prices to its business customers.
QEnergy has a 15-year coal seam gas supply agreement with Molopo, with gas sourced from the Mungi field in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland.
QEnergy is a privately owned Australian company with headquarters in Brisbane. They have 45 shareholders, some of which include large players in the Queensland coal seam gas industry.
